I am not using this strobe in the typical way these were manufactured for (these were manufactured for semi trucks and trailers).I plan to use it with my car alarm to give off a strobe if the alarm detects an intrusion. Varad sells an equivalent strobe (for car alarms) but that unit draws a lot more current than this one. And this Maxxima unit has much better construction than the Varad counter part. Besides, the Varad unit didn't see much sells as you can barely find information on the internet.
