This cable worked exactly as expected. I purchased it to replace a faulty OEM cable that came with an external USB 3.0 WD hard drive. That cable apparently developed a fault where the PC failed to recognize the drive as USB 3.0. It would only work if plugged into a legacy USB 2.0 port. Upon trying this new cable the problem vanished just as I expected it should. This is a very good and sturdy cable, nice bright blue color, a perfect length and inexpensive.
