Additionally, the 10-ply snare drum shell and 8-ply tom and bass drum shells of this 5-piece shell pack boast meticulous musical refinements at their bearing edges. With precision cut, perfectly balanced 45-degree edges for the toms and snare plus wide-open 60-degree edges at the bass drum, drummers get to experience the utmost in sustain and sonic depth throughout the Performance series’ entire frequential range. From head to toe, these maple shells are suited for the spotlight.

Also, those gorgeous ¼-sized turret lugs that DW is known so well for can be found around every drum, anchoring down steadfast and rubber-washered True Pitch tension rods to keep your tuning from slipping underneath even the most expressive patterns.

For its hoops, the Performance series dons triple-flanged examples that promote an extraordinarily wide tuning range, reduce weight, and lighten the blow for your drumsticks. The bass drum sports lovely matching maple hoops fastened down by low-mass claw hooks that keep your shell and its heads living up to their natural potential.
