This microphone was purchased for long distance performance, and it's great for distance. The mics are well built and have a solid feel to them. Battery life is excellent. The channels and setup are easy to figure out, so you can set it and forget it. The sound of the mic is a fairly flat and feedback resistant. I'd gives a quality sound to it, but it's a bit flatter than a Shure. If you're looking for a mic that sounds super warm for vocals, (like an AudioTechnica) this is probably not it. But it's great for public speakings, toasts, etc. where long term signal stability of the signal at distance is important. The mic does not sound like a cheap mid-range only mic. It gives a good sound for speaking, but it's not a super warm, high range sound for vocals in my opinion. Very pleased with the mic and the battery performance. Both mics tested at long distance, and they both worked well, with no cut-outs, or strange digital artifacts. They just work.
